Week 5
Last week of the MTC! It's crazy how fast time is flying but I'm so excited to get to Chile and start meeting and talking to people!
Something really cool an elder told our district last week is that the word Mormon means "love everlasting" so the book of Mormon is literally the book of God's everlasting love.
This week I got to play lots of piano which was super healing. I swear God is blessing me with better piano playing because I have never been able to site read hymns this well. On Friday I ran 3 miles which was super fun and super painful at the same time because all I do is sit all day haha.
We played Frisbee gold with some of the elders from our district and it was actually so fun! The CCM has like a giant field/forest and a Frisbee gold course is set up through it and it was actually so much fun! It's so green here and there are so many mosquitos.
Sunday was a really good day this week. We had an awesome relief society lesson about the importance of the Holy ghost and always doing the consistent work to have it with us. The Holy ghost is literally a member of the God head and if we choose to intentionally live our lives in a way that facilitates the Holy ghost, we can literally have a member of the God head with us to guide us, comfort us, and provide personal revelation. Also if we continue to do the work to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, God will not only bless us with a meaningful, joyful life on this earth, but we can also live with god, Jesus Christ, and our families in the next life.
Later Sunday night we had a devotional by Jeffery R Holland and he talked about becoming the best missionaries we can become for the next 18 months and for the rest if our lives. Just like Jesus asked Peter, do you love me? We need to ask ourselves
Do we love him?
Because if we do we need to cast our nets aside and feed his sheep forever. Because Jesus Christ has given me everything I will be obedient and follow him forever. I love my Savior!!!
Love you all! Till next week!
