Week 17
Week 17:
This week was awesome! I'm starting to feel more like a missionary!! I can actually do my part in lessons and start talking to people in the street and have my own conversations with members and share my thoughts and feeling more completely! The gift of tongues is so real!
Last pday we cut our hair at a members house and then went to a different members house to make bread! Now I know how to make yummy chilean bread! My goal is to learn and write down all the recipes for all the yummy food here.
We had a blitz this week! I was in a different area with Hna Christian and we taught a little family of 5. It was basically chaos the entire time with but we showed a video and bore our testimony of prayer and the spirit was so strong. The mom was crying with her baby in her arms. We also talked with a lot of people that don't belive in god or dont believe in anything which always makes me so grateful for everything we know. Because we have si much more hope and purpose in this life when we know where we came from and our divine potential.
We were walking and my companion recognized someone from 3 months prior. His name is David and he was in Colombia with his family for the past 3 months and he just returned. He told us that if someone had more of the truth he would for sure love to have it! We gave him a book of mormon and he was super excited to read it!
We had a dessert night with Hna Manena and her neighbor Beatriz. Beatriz Is from Brasil and she made us some yummy deserts from Brasil. We started talking about the book of mormon and Beatriz told us that she was baptized 20 years ago in Santiago! What an awesome surprise! We are gonna try to help her to come back because this gospel is worth coming back for!
On Friday we accidentally took the wrong Micro and we found ourselves in the middle of farm town Omlue. That made us about an hour late to our lunch appointment, woops. But it was a fun adventure!
We have a recent convert named Marisol. And she hasn't been to church for about 3 months because she has bipolar and it has been difficult for her the past 3 months. But she finally let us into her house and she has this crazy dog named Rocky. This dog has no boundaries and a mountain of energy. And I do not like touching dogs. I literally haven't touched a single dog this entire time. But this dog literally is jumping all over us and the only way to get this dog to calm down is to pet it. And we had a very special lesson planned and we needed the Spirit and to be focused and to be calm. So I did what I had to do and pet this dog, constantly without a break for 45 minutes. I was dyinggggg. But it was worth it because Marisol came to church the next day!
I love the mission. I love Jesus Christ. I love all of you! Thank you for your love and support, have a great week!
God loves you!
