Week 18

 Week 18

This week was awesome!!!

My companion and I worked really hard to find people that are ready to receive the gospel in their lives and we had a lot of success!! We found Maritza who is from Venezuela and she has just loved learning about the Plan of salvation! We gave her a book of mormon and invited her to a ward activity and she came and the biggest miracle ever happened! She recognized a member who was baptized about a year ago. Both of them moved from Venezuela to Chile about 3 years ago. And they met each other when this member, Yunior Rafael was in bad condition, he was living in the streets without food or a job. And this was the first time in 3 years that they had seen each other again, but this time Yunior Rafael is just glowing. He has an awesome job, a house, and is a super happy member of the ward. He shared his experiences with her about how his baptism literally changed his life and he invited Maritza to church the next day, and she came!! And she loved it. We are going to work super hard with her this week because she is trying to find a job too and we know that baptism can bring big blessings into her life. So keep Maritza in your prayers!

Also transfer news! My companion is leaving to Huanhuali to be a sister training leader! And I'm staying in Limache and my new comp is going to be Hermana Peña! She's from Texas and she arrived in Chile the same time as me! We actually sat next to each other on the plane ride to Chile! I'm super excited to work together and become best friends :)
Okay we met this man named Alejandro this week! He is awesome and literally said to me that he wants to get closer to God but doesn't know how. And he asked me where on the internet he can research our church. And right after I handed him a Book of Mormon. I explained to him what the Book of Mormon is, and how we got it, and that we have prophets living today and he was super excited! I also taught him how God is our loving heavenly father and we are all sons and daughters of God. And how that makes us all brothers and sisters. The whole time my companion was talking to a member that was sitting on the same bench as Alejandro so it was awesome practice to teach someone by myself! And when we left Alejandro stood up and walked over to the member sitting down and said, “my brother!!” And gave him a big hug. It was so tender because this member, Jaime, always says that he feels alone, but here was this random man that we just met showing him love. It was all so beautiful. I am so grateful to be a missionary and see these amazing miracles from God!

This week I completed 4 months! Time is flying so fast but I'm excited everyday for the new opportunities that are awaiting! I know that God magnifies our efforts all we have to do is try to act in faith!

Have an amazing week!! God loves you!!
