This week was the baptism of our friend Xiomara!!

Her baptism was on Saturday, the 7th, at 9 in the morning. This meant that we had to wake up at 4:45 in the morning to start filling the baptismal font. That was a fun little adventure in the middle of our sleep. It reminded me of all the road trips we’ve had as a family when we had to wake up early and drive in the dark. But everything went super well for Xiomara! She was baptized and confirmed and the program was super beautiful. We had a musical number where an Elder played the piano, my companion played the violin, and I sang! We sang “I’m trying to be like Jesus”. It was super special for me too because that’s my faviorite primary song. But there was a lot of people that came to support her which was awesome! Her dad even came and watched! And the Brother that Baptized Xiomara just barely got baptized about 5 months ago! So everything was super special and the spirit was so strong!! It was really special too because this was the frist person I have helped know the gospel and be baptised! I know that I left on a mission and sacrificed basically everything for her! And its all worth it!
Something fun and tender this week was we went to an old folks home and sang Christmas songs, fed them lunch, gave them a gift, and just talked with them. It was super tender and I just love old people. We went with the missionaries in Limache (there’s 6 of us) and some of the ladies from the Ward.
This week we’ve received a lot of references. Some which have been jokes or trolls and others have been super awesome! One was a young adult of about 27 years old named Damian. He is really intelligent and likes to learn and search for knowledge and he just signed up to meet with the missionaries from Facebook! The lesson went really well and he is excited to learn more and start reading the Book of Mormon!!
There was a soccer game this weekend and the team of Limache won, which means that now they are in the professional league of Chile! There was streets blocked off and a ton of people celebrating in the main part of the city. We didn’t walk by these streets but all the cars were decked out with flags of the soccer team and everyone was honking their car horns. Apparently that's a way they like to celebrate is to drive around in their car honking. It was pretty fun to see everyone super happy.

Sunday was so awesome!! The topic of sacrament meeting was the sacrament and there were some amazing speakers. I love how we have the chance every week to realign our will with Gods. To really try to follow Jesus Christ. One thing that stuck out to me was that really we can make the time of the sacrament what we want. We can be distracted watching the little kids run around, or be thinking about the food that we have to cook when church finishes, or we can focus our thoughts on Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And one of the speakers invited us to take time before the next sacrament meeting to prepare our minds and our hearts before we enter into the church. Maybe say a prayer or read the scriptures. But make the sacrament a time of thoughtful action. And I loved this! And something really cool happened in this sacrament meeting. Before all the speakers, during the passing of the sacrament, there were 3 Brothers sitting in the row in front of me. And one after the other they took the sacrament and put their elbows on their knees, and were praying. I could tell that all 3 of them were praying fervently with real intent. Like they had been waiting all week for this moment and they needed every second of the sacrament. This was an example to me of how I should think about the sacrament. Because really it is a sacred moment. I invite you guys to really study and think about the sacrament this week, and I know that next week the sacrament will mean so much more.

Have a great week! I love you and God loves you!!
