Week 25
Happy New Year!!
I felt like this week God was just putting people in our hands. For example we started talking with this lady and she immediately asked us if we could visit her and her husband, literally the same day. And a guy on a bike stopped us in the street and said that he had a pamphlet from our church and wanted to learn more. And a dad and his son stopped us in the street and asked us what they needed to enter our church. Its just crazy the way the Lord works his miracles. Sometimes when my faith lacks, God just proves me wrong every day. Literally everyday God is putting people in our way.
This week Xiomara came back and packed up everything from her store and we helped her clean up her store and put all her stuff in the moving van. I’ll put a picture of the truck so you guys can see how crazy it was. We celebrated the New Year with the Lopez family and we ate sushi! And we still had to be home for the normal missionary schedule, but there wasn’t any public transportation the night of the 31st. So we ended up sleeping in the apartment of other sisters. It was kinda crazy! But it was so fun!
Sunday this week was so awesome!! I love Come Follow Me and I love the Restoration. I love that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is literally the exact same church that Jesus Christ led when he was here. The same church! Not only with the teachings of Jesus, but the ability to do covenants in the same way that Christ made covenants. And we are the people that get to participate in the last restoration of the Gospel before Jesus Christ comes again. And after he comes, the fullness will never be taken from the earth again. I know that we are all here in the last days with a purpose. We all have something to contribute. God trusts us all to help everyone here on the earth to make eternal covenants that open the doors to the celestial kingdom. And that didn’t end when you got home from your mission, or when you got released as the bishop, or when you served in your callings for 20 years, or even when we die. This work is a work that will continue on forever until every child of God has the chance to accept the gospel and the covenants that come with it.
I highly recommend starting Come Follow Me this year! I’m super excited to study and read in Doctrine and Covenants! Happy 2025! I love you, God loves you!
