Week 27

This week was AMAZING! 

I just want to say I love being a missionary. Its literally the best ever! It's super hard but super rewarding. This week we worked the hardest we've ever worked and we saw a ton of miracles! 

This week we talked with literally every person that we saw and invited them all to church! A lot of people said that they actually would love to come! Sometimes as missionaries we overcomplicate inviting people, but there really are people out there that are just waiting for someone to invite them! So it was super rewarding to see that people actually want to come to church! And we were just inviting them with a ton of love and testifying of Jesus, it was so powerful. I´ve loved these past few days!! And it turned out that no one we invited came to church, but our ward missionary leader invited his friend from work and he came! And he stayed for both hours of church and learned all about the first vision and the restoration. And at the end of church we gave him a book of Mormon and he is super excited to read! So our efforts this week weren´t wasted! Something I’m learning on the mission is that God really does bless us for effort. But most of the time he blesses us in the ways we least expect. 

Our friend Luis decided that he wants to be baptized this coming Sunday!! We´ve had amazing lessons with lots of different members. I love the members here! They all have such strong testimonies and love sharing it! I am so excited to see Luis live the gospel! He is going to bless so many lives including the lives of his Mom and brother. And its amazing the change you can see in a person from the first time we knocked on his door. He is almost a completely different person. It is awesome how Jesus changes lives. I know for sure that he is changing mine right now. And he can keep changing our lives forever if we let him. I love my Savior and I’m super excited for His Second Coming! Now is the time to work in the greatest cause ever!

 This week we had a zone conference and it was truly amazing. I realized that people want and need this Gospel. If they can understand what it means to be baptized, there won´t be a single person who wouldn´t want to be baptized. It just depends if they can truly understand the doctrine. Understand that when we are baptized, the door to return back to Godś presence opens. The only way to start to access Godś power is through baptism. If the people can understand that the first step to living with their families for the eternities is by being baptized, they wouldn't have to fear it.  This week we got to put this into practice. We taught our friend Absalon about the importance of baptism and how his eternal progression relies on being baptized by someone that has the authority of God. Week 53

  This week was super eye opening. I learned so much about all aspects of life. First of all on Tuesday we left with Sister Trythall, the mission president’s wife. And it was so fun to see our area from a different perspective and to hear her testimony and feel her spirit. This week I felt super grateful for every little thing I’ve lived through. I’m super grateful for this time I have to be super focused in changing myself and helping others to change.  I also had some opportunities to have deep conversations this week with a few different people. The first one I had was with my companion. We talked about how sometimes we feel like we don’t feel the spirit as strongly or as drastic of a difference and the truth is that we are so connected spiritually that I realized it's normal. It's normal that people in the street feel the spirit strongly and they share the hard things they’ve gone through or what they’re going through right now after talking to them for 3 minutes. Week 73

  My last week in Chile! The best week ever! This week I just soaked up everything! Every lesson, every street contact. especially Sunday. It was a super sweet and spiritual Sunday! I got to give my last testimony and wow it was hard for me, but I just felt so much love looking at all the people I love and have served with for so long. I am sad to leave but excited for the next part of my life!  Some highlights from this week! Ignacio got baptized and confirmed! The baptismal meeting was so spiritual and Ignacio shared his testimony at the end and he started crying! Afterward he said that the spirit was so strong during the whole entire baptismal service and it all exceeded his expectations! That is a lot coming from him because he is a very intelligent, calculated person, so the fact that the spirit was stronger and hit him harder than he thought was really special!
