Week 29
This week was crazy!
First of all, on Wednesday I went to Argentina! We received our visas so we had to leave the country and return so they could process the visa. So what happened is we stayed the night Tuesday in Viña and we woke up at 2:45 in the morning and took a 2 hour bus to Santiago. And on the bus ride, I sat next to a window and got to see the stars and the moon and the silhouette of the mountains! And then we flew from Santiago to Buenos Aires, Argentina. And on the flight I also got a window seat and wow I had no idea how beautiful Chile is. We flew over the Andes mountains and I took a billion pictures. It was so pretty! And then when we landed in Buenos Aires, we left the airport, crossed the street to see the ocean, took some pictures, and went back into the airport to fly back. So we spent a total of probably 10 minutes outside of the airport in Argentina, but it was still super worth it! Now we have our visas and I got to see some awesome views and hang out with some of my favorite sister missionaries! On the flight back I just slept because I was so tired and I didn’t have a window seat. But on the bus ride back from Santiago to Viña, there was sunlight so I got to see the countryside of Chile! Its so pretty and green! We got back to the msision office at 8:30pm so it was a day full of traveling, much super fun! Afterwards I was the most exhausted I’ve ever been. But a memory I will never forget!
Luis is gonna get baptised this coming Sunday! Originally the plan was for this past Sunday, but his mom couldn’t make it, but this coming Sunday for sure! I’m super excited for him to finally have the blessings of baptism in his life!
This week I got to call my mom for her birthday and she was with some of her friends on a girls trip and we got talking about the temple. I just love the temple. Without temples, there would be no point in having a church because without the chance for literally every being to receive the ordinances of the temple, God’s plan of salvation would not exist. That’s how loving our God is. We are the lucky ones to be living in this time where there are hundreds of temples of the earth. And we get to partipicate in the Gathering of Israel. I wish there was a temple in our mission, but I’ve promised that when I get home I want to visit the temple as much as I possibly can. And recently I’ve been able to imagine every person that I meet in the street dressed in white in the temple and see them as their true potential, as inheritors of the Celestial Kingdom living with our Heavenly Father. And this has helped me have more patience, love, and hope for the people that we meet. I just love the gospel, my Savior, my Heavenly Father, my family, and this time we have to work, improve, help, grow, and try. Every day we can choose to try a little harder, love a little bit more, share our testimonies more frequently, and give more thanks to God.
I love being a missionary! If you are thinking about serving a mission, do it!! This is the only chance we get here on the earth and the more we fill it with Jesus, the better it will be.
I love my Savior! And he loves you!
Have a great week, go and make miracles happen!
