Week 42
This week was awesome!
This week we had a combined mission and stake activity. It was more of a spiritual celebration and it was awesome! It was centered on the life and example of Jesus. It was kind of like a play with music and narrating. There was so many people that came that they didn’t have enough seats and people were standing on the sides and even in the hallways just to listen! I didn’t get to see or listen to hardly any of it, but when I got to listen to 2 seconds of one of the songs I instantly had goosebumps. It was completely focused on the people that were getting to know the church. They had special seats and a gift at the end. Every friend received a Book of Mormon, a picture of Jesus, and a copy of “The Living Christ”. It was so special to meet the people who are learning about the restored gospel and see their excitement! My job was to make sure that every friend that left had their gifts and I realized that a lot of people didn’t have a book of Mormon. So I would ask them if they wanted one, or if they already had one and the majority of them already had one! That made me so happy to know that so many people are reading and trying to find the truth! And there was a family dressed in white that acted as angels and they handed out a paper to everyone that says, “You don’t remember, but before we were born we lived with our Heavenly Father. We came to this earth to be happy and to do what is necessary to return with the people we love to our heavenly home. This is only possible through Jesus Christ. The profets from all ages and the missionaries can help us to know the path to return home.” These simple truths are so powerful! This was an experience that I will never forget in all of my mission!
This week Paulina didn’t get baptized cuz her whole family got sick! Keep her in your prayers so she can recieve the blessings of baptism!
We had a ward mission activity where we watched an episode of The Chosen! It was an awesome actividy and we had a good turnout! We made popcorn to share, so that was super fun for me. Fun fact, Chileans like their popcorn with sugar instead of salt. Interesting. During this activity a young mom entered the church and I saw her talking to the bishop and turns out she’s from the United States, is a member of the church, and speaks fluent English! She married a Chilean and moved to Chile 3 years ago and learned spanish here. Her and her husband own a circus and so they are always traveling around and she wanted to ask what time the sacrament reunion starts! So I got to talk to her for a little bit and it was so fun! I miss English!!
This week in my personal studies I studies more about faith and confidence in God. I was thinking about how it was through the faith of all the mighty prophets that they were able to do or see miracles. And I like to imagine that those prophets were trying their best to have faith, charity and hope. They were probably putting 100 percent of their confidence in God. THey were literally relying on Him and His miracles with faith that they would come, and they came. I’ve realized here in this life we’ve got to heave faith. Grapsing for air kind of faith. We got to believe in miracles and have the faith that we can acheive the unachievable. We need to pray with more faith, read with more faith, love with more faith, think with more faith, and act with more faith. We are so blessed to have every new day to try and be a little bit purer until progressively we can become complete in Christ and live in God’s mansion. I know that Jesus Christ lives and he loves us. I am grateful to be apart of His church!
I love you and God does too!!
