Week 51
This week we had a YSA activity and a ton of people came! I think the final head count was 32. It was awesome! I got to play some ping pong and play board games. Our friend Yostin came and he got to make a bunch of friends. This week Yostin shared with us that he's going through a pretty hard time right now. He's got a lot on his plate, but even through all of that he still is making time for God and keeps praying and reading. It's honestly a blessing to see how a person is struggling so much but the only hope and light they have is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's sad to see people in hard circumstances, but you really get to see how much the Gospel can change lives. When we go to visit Yostin we always try to make him laugh or put a smile on his face because honestly I think it's the only time he has to be happy and forget about his problems for a little bit. But I know the real solution is obviously Jesus Christ. I am so so grateful to be here. Today we went to la Ligua, it's a small town that still shows the old history of Chile and I just realized how lucky I am to be able to be here. I love getting to meet new people that have lived their entire live without crossing paths with the Gospel until the day that I choose to open my mouth and invite them. That gives me the drive to talk to everyone and help everyone! I love that we are all here on earth together away from God but learning and growing so much. And we get to work and support one another! I love it!
This week we had a leaders conference and I learned so much about love. That we really need to do everything we do for love. Teach the people because we love them and we want to help them realize that God loves them. And love the other missionaries for who they are and what they're doing. It's really easy to compare yourself or compare other missionaries, but really we are all out here giving our all. And if someone is struggling, the last thing they need is chastisement, they need love. I feel so much love from my Misión President and obviously from Christ and I want to show other people this pure love. I am so grateful that I know my divine purpose here on the earth. Really I am, and you are a loved children of God. Let's treat each other like family and help each other along the way. I know that as we help each other our knowledge and perception of who we are will become clearer. The prophets have promised us that. How blessed we are to be guided by prophets. I know that they love us just like Christ does. They really do receive revelation that we need and blessings come as we follow their counsel.
Have a great week! I love you and God does too!!
