Week 63

I felt like I just barely had a Pday, but in these last few days I’ve really seen and felt the importance of clean thoughts. The prophet has invited us to have confidence in God’s presence and one of the ways we can do that is by having clean and pure thoughts. Our thoughts really do lead to action and our actions lead to habits, and our habits make us who we are. And if we want to become confident in God’s presence we need to be somewhat similar to him. And the way we can change our behaviour to be more celestial, or more Christ-like, is by changing our thoughts. That is something that I really want to work on, because its something that we can always try to change. We always have thoughts swarming in our head and if we can make those thoughts more Celestial or Christ-like, more holy, and pure, our actions will start to be more Christ-like. And then slowly our character changes to be like His. I invite you all to read the talk “Discipleship” by Tom L. Perry from the October 2000 General Conference. This talk helped me to better understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ. I know we can all become the best disciple that god wants us to become if we can remember the spiritual things and make them a priority in our lives. I love Jesus and am so grateful for giving us hope. Hope for a better world, hope for a better us, hope for another life, hope for eternal life. I love Him and he waits for us to come to him.
