Week 65
This week we had a huge miracle with Erica and Heidi! We have been teaching Erica for a few weeks and we had a lesson with her and her daughter was there. And we invited her to sit and listen with us. She sat down and was so attentive to everything we were saying. And we felt the spirit so strongly testifying to her about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. She told us that she is in a religious search for the truth. She has tried a lot of religious practices, and has tried reading the bible, she just said she has a hard time reading it and she told us that it was an answer to her to have the book of mormon and she was so excited to read it! Then on Sunday she came to watch general conference and told us that on Saturday she watched a full session with Erica, her mom! That to me is such a miracle! I know that there are people that are waiting that are thirsty and need the truth of the Book of Mormon. They need the plain, simple, and power truths that it contains!
Especially after listening to general conference, I really felt how amazing the Book of Mormon is, and how much it has helped me in my life. I am so grateful for the strength I can receive thanks to reading the Book of Mormon. Both my companion and I felt very strongly that we are so grateful for the Book of Mormon. And we felt the best way for people to feel God’s love for them and understand it, is by reading the Book of Mormon. So when General conference ended on Sunday, we made a goal to find 5 people that night, and we only had 2 hours to do it, and we took with us 6 Books of Mormon with the goal to find 5 people that needed to read it. And when we left I really felt that we were walking with the Spirit. It felt so different. But we ended up finding 6 people and giving all 6 Books of Mormon to the people that God wanted. We felt so full of joy! Testifying to the people here in Chile about how their lives can change and how they can come to know their Savior by reading this book really has filled my heart. It helped me realize how important it is to me. I really do love the Book of Mormon. I love what I learn about my Savior and what I can do to become a better disciple. I am so excited and grateful to have every day here on this earth to learn, grow, trust, fall, and get back up again. I want to fill every day I have left here with the love, hope, and strength of Jesus Christ. He is the one that makes our life bright. I love my Savior!
