Week 70

 God loves you and me! I am so grateful because God loves me and he understands me. I know I’m not perfect, that I can’t do everything, and I will always come short. But that does not take away the fact that I am a daughter of God!



This week I got to teach our friend Ignacio about the plan of salvation and I am so grateful for a plan that helps me to become the best I can be! Sometimes it's hard to remember that this life isn’t the end and that worldly problems aren’t everything. It’s hard to see past the bills and vacations, but what is really important is what we give daily to God. I read a talk about how we spend our day is a model of how we will spend our entire lives. If we want to have the goal to real eternal life and exaltation, we must live our life today for that goal. Because without daily actions of progression, we are never going to make our goal. That is why daily repentance exists. If we are living everyday for Jesus Christ, we will want to start our day with prayer.. If we are living everyday for Jesus Christ we will look for opportunities to try and serve and love. If we are living everyday for Jesus Christ we will study and learn about him and seek to emulate his character. And if we are living everyday for Jesus Christ we will end the day reflectioning on how we did and how we can be better tomorrow. I know that it is difficult with a lot of daily and constant demands of jobs, family, school and much more to keep the priority on Jesus. But this life is all about him! I love to think that the living prophets and apostles are constantly trying to emulate Jesus and live like him. They are normal people too, they have just had the diligence and dedication and the testimony to repent daily and become a little better everyday. We will have the chance to live with Abraham, Moises, Adam, Isaac, Nefi, Alma, Joseph Smith, and Russell Nelson in the Celestial Kingdom. It seems like a huge and daunting task, but it is possible because we have tomorrow. Whatever we have done or haven’t done, tomorrow we can choose to have a fresh start through Jesus Christ! I love him so much! I know he loves me and understands me! I can’t wait for the day when he comes again! May we all remember him daily! He is the life and the light of the world!

 This week we had a zone conference and it was truly amazing. I realized that people want and need this Gospel. If they can understand what it means to be baptized, there won´t be a single person who wouldn´t want to be baptized. It just depends if they can truly understand the doctrine. Understand that when we are baptized, the door to return back to Godś presence opens. The only way to start to access Godś power is through baptism. If the people can understand that the first step to living with their families for the eternities is by being baptized, they wouldn't have to fear it.  This week we got to put this into practice. Week 53

  This week was super eye opening. I learned so much about all aspects of life. First of all on Tuesday we left with Sister Trythall, the mission president’s wife. And it was so fun to see our area from a different perspective and to hear her testimony and feel her spirit. This week I felt super grateful for every little thing I’ve lived through. I’m super grateful for this time I have to be super focused in changing myself and helping others to change.  I also had some opportunities to have deep conversations this week with a few different people. The first one I had was with my companion. We talked about how sometimes we feel like we don’t feel the spirit as strongly or as drastic of a difference and the truth is that we are so connected spiritually that I realized it's normal. It's normal that people in the street feel the spirit strongly and they share the hard things they’ve gone through or what they’re going through right now after talking to them for 3 minutes. Week 73

  My last week in Chile! The best week ever! This week I just soaked up everything! Every lesson, every street contact. especially Sunday. It was a super sweet and spiritual Sunday! I got to give my last testimony and wow it was hard for me, but I just felt so much love looking at all the people I love and have served with for so long. I am sad to leave but excited for the next part of my life!  Some highlights from this week! Ignacio got baptized and confirmed! The baptismal meeting was so spiritual and Ignacio shared his testimony at the end and he started crying! Afterward he said that the spirit was so strong during the whole entire baptismal service and it all exceeded his expectations! That is a lot coming from him because he is a very intelligent, calculated person, so the fact that the spirit was stronger and hit him harder than he thought was really special!
